In response to which the "Skyfall" singer said, "It ended up being one of those 'don't meet your idol' moments. And the saddest thing was that I was such a big Blur fan growing up. But it was sad, and I regret hanging out with him. None of it was right. None of it suited my record."
"People were not kind, it was... Enlightening. I'm used to it. Listen, I'm here because I love writing music and it's a privilege. I was number five on Twitter yesterday. I mean, how pathetic is that?," he said on the reaction received on social media after his comment.
