Dance bar raided, 26 held for obscenity

A dance bar located in Rabodi area of the city was raided today and as many as 26 persons, including the bar owner, were arrested for allegedly indulging in obscene acts, police said.
Sub-Inspector M M Ghopal of Rabodi police station said the raid was conducted in the wee hours today by the Special Branch of Thane police.
Those arrested include 12 girls, two male singers and owner of the bar Lucky Shouri (34), he said.
A case under section 294 of the IPC (punishment for obscene acts or words in public) and relevant sections of the Bombay Police Act has been registered, Ghopal said.

According to police they are on a look out for four more persons, who escaped during the raid and further probe is on.
