"It can be christened as dance infused by mime or jugalbandi," Bijoya Dutta. One of the very few women mime artistes told PTI on the sidelines of the show being orgaisaed by Anubhav in collaboration with Ministry of Culture, government of India.
From hearing impaired to the mentally challenged, from those in red light areas to the underprivielged- the children are from different backgrounds.
"One of the exceptionally gifted child actors is Suman, who has presented his own skit on dowry and made the audience cry with the portrayal of Nirbhaya incident in an earlier show. They should be nurtured and given exposure at global performingart meet to show how India work towards reviving a near-extinct performing art form like mime," she said.
The group also gets ready to perform in Germany and US, Krishna said.
