Danish firm Ramboll eyes Rs 250-crore revenue by 2018

Denmark-based multi-disciplinary company Ramboll is targeting Rs 250-crore revenue by 2018, a top executive said today.
It revenues stood at Rs 160 crore in 2015, the company said in a statement.
"Having the design and engineering centre in Hyderabad adds tremendous strength to our research, development and innovation to serve our clients more efficiently," Pawan Maini, Managing Director of Ramboll India told reporters here.
"2015 was a good year for Ramboll India as we clocked revenue of around Rs 1,600 million (Rs 160 crore). We are bullish on the Indian market and confident to achieve the mark of Rs 2,500 million (Rs 250 crore) by 2018," Maini added.
Ramboll India is actively looking forward to grow its presence in more sectors and markets by the process of merger and acquisition, especially in the area of rail, planning, urban design, building structures, services (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing), Soren Holm Johansen, Ramboll's Group Executive Director for Markets and Global Practises said.
The 230 strong Ramboll Hyderabad team focuses on tower engineering which involves the analysis and design of masts, towers and monopoles in addition to tower marketing and technical support, manufacture and sale of towers, he added.

"India is a key market for us and we will continue to make strategic technological infrastructure investments and pick top engineering talent in India," Johansen said.
Founded in Denmark in 1945, the euro 1.4 billion enterprise Ramboll operates more than 300 offices in 35 countries and employs over 13,000 experts globally, it said.
In India, Ramboll employs over 800 employees working from five principal offices in Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru, it added.
