Medhekar, who was here at the 10th edition of Film Bazaar to seek global distributors for his film, says the moment he saw Denzongpa's name on the tentative list of the cast, he finalised the actor as his lead in the movie.
"Danny is playing the protagonist in the film and he's absolutely fantastic. We have always seen this man as a villain but the fact of the matter is that he is one of the best looking men in the industry," Medhekar told PTI.
The first time director is all praise for Denzongpa and says the actor comes from whole different school of cinema.
"He has done a great job. He's incredibly talented and he's full of good advice."

Denzongpa may have rose to fame after playing a lot of negative roles in Bollywood but Medhekar says "Bioscopewala" will capture a new side of the actor.
The film, which is an extrapolation of the story "Kabuliwala" by Rabindranath Tagore, also stars Geetanjali Thapa, Tisca Chopra, Brijendra Kala and Adil Hussain. It is inspired by the characters created by Tagore and begins where he left them in his story.
The director says everybody has given their 100 per cent in the film and even undergone a lot of challenges, while shooting.
"Adil put so much love into his character. He's so versatile. Since we worked closely, we used to challenge ourselves," he said.
Medhekar's film is currently at the Work-In-Progress Lab, also known as an editing lab, at the Film Bazaar, which gives an opportunity to filmmakers to present their projects in a rough-cut stage to a panel of international film experts for their feedback to reach and accomplish the final cut.
