Das extended good wishes to police personnel who were felicitated and extended wishes to the people on the eve of the states Foundation Day, according to an official release.
He said that the Constitution provided guarantee on security to all and the state government is adhering to it without any discrimination.
Bowing to those personnel who sacrificed their lives in their bid to make extremism-free and crime-free society, the chief minister asked everyone to take a resolution to fulfill the dreams of martyred jawans efforts to make extremism-free and crime-free society.
The contribution of the police in maintaining law and order is commendable and the government is also committed for their welfare, the Chief Minister said.
He said a months additional salary would be given to those police personnel who do not take leave during festivals and discharge duty. The benefit would be effective from January 1, 2018, Das added.
Houses are constructed for the police to provide them good environment and smart police stations are also being constructed, Das said, adding now the police personnel should also be smart, extend good behavior to the people and always remain alert.
