Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today requested every MLA to adopt at least one school and also play an important role in the execution of development projects across the state.
Addressing a workshop here on ongoing development schemes, he asked the legislators to inform if there was requirement for residential schools for SC/ST/BC in their constituencies, saying he had discussions with the Union Welfare Ministry in this connection.
On the pattern of 'Yojana Banao Abhiyan', campaign for 'save water and plantation' would begin from June 15, an official release quoting him said.
Das said government departments, schools, colleges, social organisations and others would take pledge (for the success) of the campaign.
Emphasising that judiciary, legislature, executive and the fourth estate have important roles, he said coordination among the four would give fillip in acceleration of development, enabling benefits reaching to everyone.
He further said the Legislature has to play its role constructively in the interest of people's welfare and was necessary for coordination for execution of schemes and that the workshop was organised so that the legislature and the executive could get information of different schemes.

Reiterating the commitment for time-bound, transparent and qualitative works, Das asked to spend 100 per cent of the budget and stresses that fiscal management should happen in the way the schemes completed in right manner.
As infrastructure was necessary for the state's development, he said adding, efforts to improve electricity and roads connectivity with quality was the government's priority.
Noting that the government's efforts were afoot to end 'middlemen' and plugging gaps in works, Das said Jharkhand would become a role model in the country by 2019.
