DAVP DG Goyal appointed as head of BOC: Order
Press Trust of India New Delhi Indian Information Service (IIS) officer Ghanshyam Goyal was today appointed as the head of Bureau of Outreach Communication (BOC) , an entity formed by merging of DFP, S&DD and DAVP, an order said.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting had last year integrated its three departments -- Directorate of Field Publicity (DFP), Song and Drama Division (S&DD) and Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP).
Ghanshyam Goel, a selection grade officer of IIS Group 'A', presently working as director general, DAVP, New Delhi is hereby appointed as head of Bureau of Outreach Communication (BOC), New Delhi with immediate effect and until further orders, the ministrys order said.
Last year, all the regional offices and the field units of S&DD and DAVP were subsumed in the 22 regional offices and 147 field units of DFP. The integrated regional units were re-named as Regional Outreach Bureaus (ROBs) and merged field units as Field Outreach Bureaus (FOBs).
