Day temperature rises in HP

The maximum day temperature rose from 22.4 deg C to 25.6 deg C in state capital Shimla, while it remained above 33.5 deg C at Sundernagar and Bhuntar.

Elsewhere, Solan recorded a high of 30 deg C, followed by Nahan 28.7 deg C, Dharamsala 28.4 deg C and Kalpa 25.6 deg C.

Some parts of the state received moderate rains. Sainj was wettest in the region with 28 mm rains, followed by Baldwara and Hamirpur 15 mm, Dalhousie 14 mm, Kumarsein 9 mm and Chamba and Kasauli 7 mm.

The minimum temperature also rose marginally. Una recorded a low of 25.6 deg C, while it was 22.1 deg C in Sundernagar.

Kalpa in tribal Kinnaur district was coldest in the region with a low of 12.4 deg C.
