Ambala was hottest place in the region with a high of 36.3 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal.
While Patiala settled at a high of 36 degrees, two notches below normal, the maximum at Chandigarh was 35.8 degrees, two notches below normal.
Among other places, Ludhiana had a high of 35.6 degrees, two notches below normal followed by 35.4 degrees at Karnal, also two notches below normal, 32.3 degrees at Amritsar, six notches below normal and 30.2 degrees Celsius at Hisar, which was 11 notches below normal.
