Day temperatures rise marginally in Himachal

The hailstorm which lasted hardly fifteen minutes caused sharp fall in day temperature in Shimla which had risen to 23 degrees while Una, which was hottest in the state recorded maximum temperature at 36.2 degree, four degree above normal.

Paonta Sahib and Nahan in Sirmaur district received 31 mm and 26 mm of rainfall while Kufri recorded 28 mm rains, followed by Manali 9 mm and Jubbarhatti and Nadaun 6 mm.

While the day temperature stayed at 21.0 degree in Kalpa in tribal Kinnaur district, it rose to 33 degree and 32.7 degree in Bhuntar ans Sundernagar, followed by Solan 29.5 degree, Nahan 29.0 degree and Dharamshala 27.4 degree.

Una with minimum temperature at 22.5 degree, five degree above normal was warmest during the night while Dharamsala and Sundernagar recorded a low of 21.5 degree, followed by Palampur 20.5 degree, Bhuntar 20.0 degree, Shimla 16 degree and Manali 15.0 degree.

The local Met office has predicted more rains in the region during the next 48 hours.
