Daylight robbery at a finance company, 11 kg of gold

In a daring daylight robbery, three unidentified armed persons today looted 11 kg of gold and Rs 2.5 lakh from an office of Muthoot finance company situated in Tripuri, a market area here.
The robbers barged into the office of the company this evening. They tied three employees including two females and locked them in a washroom before committing the crime, IG (Patiala zone), Paramjit Singh Gill.
Police said, one employee was on leave today and it is strange that there was no security guard deployed at the time of incident.
Robbers, who were carrying pistols, had sprayed black paint on CCTV cameras installed in the office to prevent themselves from getting identified, Gill said.

However, police said they were trying to gather information from the CCTV footage and investigations are on.
