DCB Bank gains 5.5% as Q4 net profit soars

DCB Bank shares today ended 5.5 per cent higher after it reported a 10.5 per cent rise in net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31.
The stock climbed 5.52 per cent to settle at Rs 87.90 on BSE. During the day, it soared 8.76 per cent to Rs 90.60.
On NSE, the scrip went up by 5.21 per cent to end at Rs 87.80.
The company's market valuation rose by Rs 140.19 crore to Rs 2,501.19 crore.
In terms of volume, 7.28 lakh shares of the company changed hands at BSE and over 62 lakh shares were traded at NSE during the day.
DCB Bank on Friday reported a 10.5 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 70 crore for the March quarter as against Rs 63 crore in the year-ago period.

Total income of the company grew 19.86 per cent to Rs 509.56 crore, from Rs 425.12 crore a year ago.
Overall provisions rose to Rs 27.25 crore, from the earlier Rs 14.32 crore.
DCB Bank's gross non-performing assets ratio improved to 1.51 per cent compared with 1.76 per cent last year. Its net NPA ratio stood at 0.75 per cent as against the earlier 1.01 per cent.
