At present, the company's combined Chlor Alkali production capacity at its Bharuch and Kota plants is about 780 tonnes per day (TPD) and power capacity is about 188 mw.
In a BSE filing, DCM Shriram said it would add 505 TDP Chlor-Alkali capacity and 55-66 mw power capacity at both the plants with an investment requirement of Rs 607.20 crore.
The funds are arranged from internal generations and debt.
"The entire expansion project will be completed by September-October 2016," the company said.
"The brownfield expansion and technology upgradation will strengthen our competitiveness and industry position," the filing said.
DCM Shriram is the third-largest Chlor-Alkali producer in the country.
