"Leaving behind the top touted GECs, Doordarshan National jumped to number one position in all Hindi GECs during afternoon time (12pm to 3pm) in weekdays in All India 1 Million plus markets with average 448 thousands viewership in average last twelve weeks," the channel said.
Doordarshan attributed this "spurt" in viewership to its strategy to provide the viewers with fresh content in their afternoon slot- -'DD Dopahar',while the other major entertainment channels were still running their repeat telecast.
