The budget along with revised estimates for the last fiscal was presented before the DDA's authority, which also took other key decisions.
"Budget expenditure for 2017-18 has been set at Rs 8,415 crore approximately, projecting a growth of 62 per cent over revised estimate for 2016-17 at Rs 5,202 crore," the DDA said.
The estimated expenditure is expected to be incurred mainly on "houses and shops (Rs 3,557 crore), acquisition of land (Rs 750 crore), development of land (Rs 2,865 crore) and on establishment and miscellaneous expenditure (Rs 1,243 crore," it said in a statement.
Among the key proposals made in the budget are "35 new land development schemes and seven new housing and related development work".

"Ongoing housing schemes being undertaken at Dwarka, Jasola, Rohini, Vasant Kunj, Narela, Jahangir Puri, Kondli. Ongoing development schemes at Rohini, Narela and Bakkarwala. Master plan for roads are under execution at Rohini, Narela, Bakkarwala," the DDA said in a statement.
"Infrastructure development at four places in Rohini, UER-II (Urban Extension Road) connecting canal to railway line to Mundka NH-10, UER-I and GT Karnal Road to Western Yamuna Canal," it added.
It also proposed to lay more thrust on Aravali Biodiversity Park, Yamuna Biodiversity Park, and biodiversity parks at Tilpath Valley, Jharoda Majra and Wazirabad Phase-II.
On the in-situ rehabilitation at Kathputli Colony, the budget also said that "as on February 1, 1,206 families have been shifted to the transit camp at Anand Parbat and the process of shifting may take another two months' time."
"DDA's 5.2 hectare of land near Shadipur Depot of west Delhi is under encroachment by slum and JJ dwellers. In 2008 tender enquiry was floated for in-situ development of this area in PPP mode and work was awarded to M/s Raheja Developers Pvt Ltd in August 2009 for construction of 2,800 dwelling units for rehabilitation of 2,800 families.
"The rate to be charged for the flat as per Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) policy and accepted by Union Ministry of Urban Development is Rs 1,12,000, plus Rs 30,000 as maintenance cost," it added.
