DDCA conducts education programme on anti-doping

The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) today conducted education programme on anti-doping for Under-16 and Under-19 (boys & girls) at the Feroze Shah Kotla Grounds.
Chetan Chauhan, Vice President, DDCA welcomed the faculty members of BCCI on anti-doping -- Dr. Vece Paes and Dr P S Chandran and also head of Board's ACU head Ravi Sawani.
Nearly 100 players, including coaches and support staff, attended the programme.
Sawani explained in detail the corruption elements in cricket such as match fixing, spot fixing and betting. He told the players to be vigilant, disciplined and not indulge in loose talks that may bring disrepute to the game.
The players, coaches and the support staff were explained about their roles in keeping the game free from corruption.
Paes and Chandran gave presentation on anti doping. They explained about the medicines and precautions to be taken by players during their playing careers in order to be free from doping.
Paes specifically told the players about the diet chart to be followed during the course of the match. The programme was well received by all participants.
