The petition, filed by the wife of deceased businessman Manoj Rana, would be taken up for hearing tomorrow by a bench of Justice Mukta Gupta.
Besides seeking transfer of the case from the Crime Branch of Delhi Police to CBI, Rishi Rana, in her plea filed through lawyer Gaurav K Bansal, has also sought a compensation of Rs 10 lakh.
The plea also said that the probe showed "the pathetic and callous attitude" of Delhi Police which, instead of doing a fair investigation, are trying to save the then Station House Officer (SHO) of Bindapur police station.
Police later said Rana was an accused in a recent case of opening fire during a wedding in Uttam Nagar locality here and it had been looking for him since the case was registered, according to Rishi Rana.

The petitioner said the accused policemen were forcing him to confess that he had an illegal weapon which was used by him to open fire in the marriage party.
"As he refused to admit any false claims, that had annoyed the policemen who then beat up to death," she said.
"If members of the police force resort to illegal abduction and assassination, the same betrays scant respect for the life and liberty for innocent citizens and at the same time exposes the willingness of others in uniform to lend a helping hand to one who wreaks private vengeance on mere suspicion," the petition said.
