After the incident authorities today suspend two policemen and transfered Circle Officer of the area.
The violence erupted after 35-year-old Afzal died allegedly after being thrashed by police yesterday, sources said.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today announced Rs five lakh to the family of Afzal.
"SHO Deoband, Yashveer Singh, and constable Balveer Singh have been suspended while CO Charan Singh was transferred after the incident," IG, Law and Order, RK Vishwakarma told reporters here.
SP (rural), Anil Mishra, was also attacked by the angry mob and AK-47 rifle of his gunner was also snatched.
