The incident had taken place 35 kms away from the district headquarters yesterday when the bus was on its way to Susner and collided head on with a dumper near Amarkot village on Indore-Jaipur national highway killing five persons on the spot and injuring 44 others.
The driver of the bus Suren Singh, who had received critical injuries in the mishap, succumbed to his injuries today, said Agar Malwa District Collector Durg Vijay Singh.
According to the Collector, 18 of the injured have been admitted to Susner hospital, while 19 others in Ujjain and the remaining ones in Agar Malwa.
