The three capsule shaped tankers were found at the Berika beach near Kumbala in Kasaragod yesterday by locals.
While two tankers have the capacity to hold 24,000 litres each, the other could carry 24,300 litres, police said.
Fishermen had also reported seeing football like objects floating in the waters in the past few days.
He said that the parts are suspected to be the debris of the M V Mol Comfort, the Singapore-bound merchant vessel from Jeddah which split into two and sank about 840 nautical miles off Mumbai coast on June 17 after all the 26 crew were rescued.
The ship's owners have been informed about the debris and they have been asked to remove it, he said.
The 316-metre-long vessel was carrying 4,500 containers from Saudi Arabia.
