The air service under the brand Deccan Shuttles aims at connecting key economic zones in Gujarat like Ahmedabad, Surat, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar and Kandla through 12 daily flights, a company statement said.
The services scheduled to commence from August 20 will initially operate on Ahmedabad-Surat-Bhavnagar route while Ahmedabad-Kandla route will be made operational from August 27, and Ahmedabad-Jamnagar route will be added subsequently, the statement said.
Through this initiative, Deccan will identify tourist, industrial and other important clusters that are not serviced by airlines and provide customised chartered flight services, it said.
The company will use nine-seater Cessna aircraft for the purpose and also has plans to offer helicopter service.
