Deceased MLA's wife gets TDP ticket for Tirupati bypoll

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief, N Chandrababu Naidu today announced M Suguna, wife of deceased MLA M Venkataramana as the party's candidate for the February 13 bye-election to the Tirupati assembly constituency.
Naidu announced her name before a gathering of hundreds of TDP leaders and activists at his native village of Naravaripalle, 20 km from here this evening.
Suguna told reporters later that she would approach opposition parties, including YSRCP, with a request to make her election unanimous as her husband died last month following heart problem.
