The private power distribution companies have sought hike in tariff to adjust their power purchase cost.
The Reliance Infra-backed BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd has sought a hike of 13 per cent while Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd has demanded an increase of 14 per cent.
Power tariff in the city was hiked by up to eight per cent in January by the DERC.

The DERC is also in the process of reviewing the annual tariff structure.
The AAP government in January had ordered a CAG audit of accounts of the private discoms.
The BJP has asked Lt Governor Najeeb Jung not to allow any hike in tariff before the CAG submits its report about the discoms finances.
