Kerala Congress(M) Chairman K M Mani, whose party severed it's over three decade long ties with opposition Congress-led UDF last year, today said KC(M) would take a decision without much delay over the next course in state politics.
"Our stand will be made clear without much delay. But it will not be a hasty decision," he said here amid suspense over what stand his party would take before the Lok Sabha polls.
He said the party would soon start discussion on the issue of the political alliance to be opted in the state.
Mani had severed his party's over three decade long ties with the Congress-led UDF last year, accusing UDF leaders of backstabbing him over the issue of bar bribery case when he was Finance Minister in then Oommen Chandy-led government.
The veteran leader refused to spell out his party's clear stand on the CPI(M)-led LDF or the opposition Congress-led UDF, but said he has a "soft corner" towards Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who is 'very decent' in his talks.
"He is very decent in his talks. He assess matters in a right sense," Mani told reporters after concluding the state conference of the party here.

Mani, however said, he had differences of opinion about the style of functioning of his government.
His remarks praising Vijayan came amid reports that a strong section in Kerala Congress (M) headed by his son and party vice-chairman Jose K Mani prefer to go with the ruling CPI(M)-LDF in the state.
Another significant section in Kerala Congress(M), headed by P J Joseph, is said to have differences over the move to join hands with the LDF.
