"Government should declassify all the files it had on Netaji to put an end to all speculations and innuendos," Party's chief spokesman Randeep Surjewala said.
He sought to dismiss reports that the family of Bose was snooped upon noting that Independent India had seen stalwarts like Sardar Patel, Govind Vallabh Pant and Lal Bahudar Shastri as Home Ministers.
"These allegations are not against certain individuals but distinguished freedom fighters who were Home Ministers of India during 1947 to 67-68. It will be very unfair ...They were stalwarts and could not have even remotely thought of snooping ", he said rejecting the allegations.
Yesterday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said the files on Bose declassified by the state government contain letters supporting the theory that he was alive after 1945 and that his family was snooped upon.
