Decomposed bodies of retired teacher, wife found

The highly decomposed bodies of a retired teacher and his wife were recovered from Kankidih village in Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district today, police said.
While the body of the retired teacher Banmali Singh Sardar was found from the room of his home, his wife Jyotsna Singh Sardar was seen floating in a nearby well, Superintendent of Police (rural) Shailendra Burnwal said adding that Banmali's motorcycle and helmet were missing.
A police team rushed to the village on being informed by the villagers that some stingy smell emanated from the house of Banmali Singh and broke open the locked house to first find the man's body.

Burnwal said villagers told police that Banmali's house was found locked since February 6 last.
Jyotsna was the second wife of the former teacher.
