The body was identified that of Rodick Andrew Raymond, police said, adding, his body was found stuffed in a plastic bag at Church Road after a passerby informed police about it.
From the body's condition, it appears that Raymond might have been murdered three-four days back, police said.
A PCR call was received around 9 AM this morning. The body was first spotted by a local shopkeeper who raised an alarm, following which a mob gathered at the spot.
"Police have found injury marks on Raymond's head. Some injury marks were also found on other parts of his body. Police are also scanning the video footage of CCTV cameras to identify the person who dumped body," the officer added.
A case against unidentified persons has been registered and further investigation is on, police said.
