Chandra, a 1991 batch officer of Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax cadre), has been appointed for an initial period of three years, said an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
Her tenure is further extendable for a further period of two years in same Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) or three years on transfer to another CPSE after completing the initial period of three years with the prior clearance of CVC and DoPT, it said.
A CVO acts as distant arm of Central Vigilance Commission and is responsible for taking measures to ensure transparency and check any illegal practices in an organisation.
