In order to stop the menace of goods being sold without bill or proper documents, Delhi government has decided to intensify border checking to plug revenue leakage.
The Enforcement-II Branch of Trade and Taxes Department has issued advisory to transporters and owners for transporting goods with proper documents.
"We have advised transporters and owners of the goods to carry proper sale invoice for local sale, DVAT-33 for local stock transfer and proper GR and sale invoice in case of Central sale, while transporting goods," said Sanjiv Khirwar, Commissioner (Trade and Taxes).
Khirwar further said that dealers are being advised to go through the modalities related to Enforcement-II branch given on departmental website www.Dvat.Gov.In.
The Department is carrying out checking round the clock to keep an eye on inter-state movement of vehicles carrying goods.
Many vehicles are also detained by the branch if they are not carrying proper documents related to goods being carried by them. These vehicles are released after imposing requisite tax and penalty and taking other necessary action as per DVAT Act, 2004 and DVAT Rules, 2005, Khirwar said.
