The delegation, under the US sponsored programme for MANAGE, Hyderabad, was exposed to the e-extension initiatives, agri portal directives, precision farming, along with the features on the expert system models for paddy and crop doctor initiatives, a University release said.
As part of the programme, an interactive session was organised in the presence of K Ramasamy, Vice-Chancellor, TNAU, who wanted the farmers to go for innovative ideas to enhance the knowledge and skill components to ensure food safety and security, it said.
Chandrasekara, Project Director, MANAGE, specified the significance of training, which invited the officials of Kenya, Malawi and Liberia undergoing 60 days training for inculcating and impregnating ideas of policy makers and farmers, the release said.
