Delhi BJP celebrates Modi's swearing-in as PM

From erecting LED screens to distributing sweets, BJP workers in the national capital today celebrated Narendra Modi's swearing in-ceremony like Diwali festival.
As President Pranab Mukherjee administered oath to Modi, the Delhi BJP unit celebrated his swearing-in ceremony by distributing sweets, illuminating streets and bursting firecrackers across the city.
All district units of the party organised a public-gathering programme in their respective areas where they installed LED screens for the live telecast of Modi's swearing-in ceremony.
Besides, human chains were formed by the supporters, who also sang Vande Mataram at various places.
In Chandni Chowk, from where Delhi BJP president Harsh Vardhan won the elections, workers installed LCD screens for the live telecast of swearing-in ceremony and illuminated main markets.
Similarly, supporters also organised cultural programmes in Pitampura area where they also distributed sweets among the people and burst firecrackers.
"Modi's swearing-in ceremony is like Diwali celebration for BJP workers as well as common people as with taking charge of PM office, good days are about to come," Delhi BJP's spokesperson Harish Khurana said.
The swearing-in ceremony was telecast live on LED screens in Chandni Chowk, Karol Bagh, Paharganj, South Extension, Pitampura, Rohini, Shalimar Bagh, Shahdara, Mayur Vihar, Sarojani Nagar, Lajpat Nagar, Narela, Nangloi, Burari, Bhajanpura, Yamuna Vihar, Karawal Nagar, Preet Vihar, Uttam Nagar, Palam, Najafgarh, Mehrauli, Sangam Vihar, Sarita Vihar and Badarpur Market.
