This film highlights the "importance of cleanliness and the basic facility of toilets in houses, especially for women", Delhi BJP general secretaries -- Kuljeet Chahal, Ravinder Gupta and Rajesh Bhatia wrote in the letter to Kejriwal.
The three leaders also claimed that the movie has been inspired by the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and if declared tax free, it will gather "maximum" audience in theatres.
"If the Delhi government decides to exempt this film, then it will be in the public interest and if Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal finds politics in this move, then it will be very sad," they said.
BJP national secretary Sardar RP Singh has also written to the chief minister, seeking his attention towards people being charged at government-run toilets, leading women to avoid using them.
"Women are being forced to open defecation due to user charges being taken in government public toilets around jhuggi (slum) clusters," Singh claimed in the letter.
