A total of 230 participants, 20 less than last year, from across the globe will participate at the seven-day fair organised by India Trade Promotion Organisation.
Rita Menon, ITPO Chairperson, said the fair last year attracted three lakh visitors and they expect more this time.
'E-books' will take the centre stage at the fair from September 1-9 at Pragati Maidan.
ITPO executive director Neeraj Gupta said, "Book-reading is no longer restricted to books with the proliferation of internet. We want to tap the youth market and make use of the available technology in promoting 'e-books'. New products, new services and new technology will be the primary focus of the fair."
"Regional language publishing houses will also be present. Publishers from Pakistan, China, the US, the UK, France and Germany are participating in the fair," he said.
Screening of films based on novels of select Indian authors will be a major crowd puller at the fair. "Feature films based on novels written by Indian authors will be screened at the Shakuntalam Convention Centre. Five Hindi movies and four regional language movies will be screened," Gupta said.
