Delhi can boast of strong economy: CM

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today said the city can boast of its strong economy and the highest per capita income due to uniform development.
"Congress is committed to make Delhi a more prosperous and people friendly city," she said at a public meeting at Tikona Park, Kashmiri Gate here
"Delhi can boast of its strong economy and the highest per capita income. There is availability of adequate employment opportunities in the city so people aspire to settle down in Delhi," she said.
Claiming that Congress was the only party which had kept alive the spirit of unity and secularism.
Referring to the composite culture of Shajahanabad, she said, "Our government has nurtured the values of harmony and brotherhood.
"As far as the walled city was concerned, our government will strive to revive tram ways. We have been replacing age old water pipe lines with new ones," she said.
People appreciate the development undertaken by Congress government, hence they cannot afford to slow down the pace of work, she added.
