Delhi Chief Secretary SK Srivastava today reviewed the ongoing drive against encroachment of public land and directed the departments concerned to vigorously continue with the campaign and not spare any encroacher.
He further directed that FIRs be lodged against encroachers who trespass on public land, according to a release today.
Delhi government has launched a comprehensive and coordinated drive through the Municipal Corporations, District Magistrates, PWD and other land-owning agencies to crack down on encroachers.
As part of the drive, the Gaon Sabha land and land belonging to various government departments has been retrieved by removing illegal and unauthorised encroachments.
The drive has also covered 11 major roads across the city where there is heavy encroachment, causing traffic snarls and inconvenience for the people.
