Scores of Congress supporters held a huge protest in east Delhi's Gandhi Nagar on Wednesday as part the party's 'Nyay Yudh' campaign, with its Delhi unit chief Ajay Maken alleging that both the AAP and BJP were responsible for the "illegal sealing" of household industrial units in the national capital.
Senior Congress leader Arvinder Singh Lovely, Haroon Yusuf and former Delhi MLA Mukesh Sharma also took part in the protest in the area which has a number of such units.
The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) launched the campaign, seeking to make sealing the party's poll plank.
Challenging the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party on the issue of sealing, Maken alleged that due to "irresponsible act and anti-people policies by both these parties (AAP, BJP), the people of Delhi are suffering".
Three resolutions against "illegal sealing" in the area were placed by Lovely in front of the crowd and passed unanimously with scores of people raising their hands in support, the DPCC said in a statement.
"The resolutions strongly condemned the BJP and AAP governments for the sealing of non-polluting household industries despite these industries having legal cover," it said.

According to the statement, the resolution also demanded from both the AAP in Delhi government and the BJP in the municipal corporations that on the basis of the legal cover given to the household industries in the city's Master Plan, the "definition of household industries be changed to make it to 11 employees, and power (parameter) from 5 kv to 11 kv.
"The resolution also sought immediate implementation of those measures not only in Gandhi Nagar, but all over Delhi to save the non-polluting household industries and livelihoods of lakhs of people from sealing," the DPCC said.
Sharma claimed that 'Nyay Yudh' will "prove to be the last nail in the coffin of the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party".
He said the agitation will be spread to rest of Delhi and the Congress will soon announce the second phase of the stir.
Sharma alleged that the MLAs and councillors of the AAP and BJP were "looting small-scale industrial unit owners and shopkeepers by creating an atmosphere of fear, by cashing in on the illegal sealing".
