Congress has demanded a government job for the wife of constable Jagbir Singh, who was shot dead by five unidentified armed assailants in outer Delhi on October 13.
"Home Ministry has not only failed to provide safety and security to the people of Delhi, but the law and order situation in the Capital has also gone out of control to create a "jungle raj" kind of situation in the national capital.
"Constable Jagbir's wife should be given a government job by making changes in rules while injured constable Narendra should be given out of turn promotion," he said.
"If the situation does not improve in the next few days in the national capital, the Congress will gherao the Home Ministry," Singh said.
