The national capital could soon have a second Gujarat state guest house, as the DDA has approved a proposal for allotment of a plot to the Gujarat government for building it on Akbar Road in Lutyens' Delhi.
The decision was taken yesterday during the Authority meeting of the urban body under Lt Governor Najeeb Jung, also the chairman of the DDA.
The land has been proposed on 25 B, Akbar Road in the heart of the city.
"Yes, we approved that proposal. And there is also a proposal to build a new national office for BJP on Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, which was discussed," DDA Member and AAP MLA S K Bagga said.
The proposal approved by the Authority would be placed before the Ministry of Urban Development for requisite approval.
The BJP currently operates out of its central office located at 11, Ashoka Road in Lutyen's Delhi.
