"The order by a Delhi court today has vindicated our stand. The UPA government was involved in the cash-for-vote scam in which whistleblowers were sent to jail while the beneficiaries and the wrongdoers are roaming free," BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said.
Faggan Singh Kulaste, one of the three BJP MPs who had shown wads of cash in the Lok Sabha and alleged they were approached by the UPA government to vote in its favour, had filed the case.
"BJP welcomes the decision of the court. The UPA government was saved through the use of illegal ways and unfair means. This will be exposed in the probe," Hussain said.
Special judge Sangita Dhingra Sehgal directed the police to trace the source of money and conduct the probe from all possible angles and file an additional charge sheet in the case within six weeks.
