Delhi Chief Secretary S K Srivastava today held a high-level committee meeting with officials from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and heads of various government departments to discuss land acquisition for the Phase III metro project.
Srivastava said he held meetings with the heads from education department, irrigation and flood control, revenue department and city urban development to sort out the land problem being faced for extending the metro rail project.
"DMRC is demanding land on the proposed routes where the metro infrastructure will be created. The said land is within the jurisdiction of various authorities," said Srivastava.
"The meeting was basically to solve the land related problems for which we had called the authorities concerned. They have given their consent to grant the land temporarily ly so that the area can be sealed off for metro construction work," he told PTI.
