Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Delhi Dynamos today said that it has entered into a partnership with BRICS -- a grouping of five major emerging national economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa -- to launch its football academy in India.
The purpose of the academy will be to train young footballers above the age of five and give them exposure to international coaches, players, education and world-class facilities.
Delhi Dynamos will be representing India in next year's BRICS Under-17 Football Cup to be hosted by India.
"We at Delhi Dynamos FC have always worked towards the development of the game at grassroots level and we hope to see more and more children taking up the sport professionally, and benefiting from the football academies," Delhi Dynamos FC president Prashant Agarwal said in a statement.
