Singla said that it will be a wonderful opportunity for the entire like-minded citizens who got their education in government schools, succeeded in their careers and now are in a position to do something for their school.
"I am a proud product of a government school myself. It struck me that it would be a good idea to provide a common platform to all the alumni of government schools where they can come together and contribute in their own ways for their alma maters," she said.
The Association had donated two water coolers, two air conditioners to the school and recently has created a smart class at the cost of around Rs Nine lakh.
One of the ex-student of the school, who is now an AGM rank officer in a nationalized bank, played an important role to provide the furniture and furnishings worth about 30 lakh to the school.
The alumni of the school is also planning to create a fund of Rs 1 crore for the welfare of students of the school.
