The hoardings that recently came up refer to allegations that the AAP government was selling onions at Rs 40 a Kg despite of procuring them at Rs 18 a Kg. They attribute the difference in prices to the "Kejriwal Tax".
The advertisements also bear the logo of the Delhi government - "Delhi Sarkar, AAP ki Sarkar".
"We have directed the NDMC to probe who put up the hoardings in its areas targeting the Delhi government. It's a case of impersonation," said a senior government official.
NDMC officials said they have taken a note of such hoardings and initiated a process to remove them.
"We have received instructions and found out that such hoardings were put up at certain places. We are in a process of removing them," a senior NDMC official said.
The NDMC authorities, however, did not specify whether they will file an FIR in this regard.
