Delhi govt clears 12 infrastructure projects

The Expenditure Finance Committee of Delhi government today cleared 12 infrastructure projects related to school buildings, roads and drainages worth Rs 321 crore.
The decision to sanction the projects of four departments was taken in the first meeting of the current fiscal under the chairmanship of chief secretary S K Shrivastava.
The projects which have been sanctioned include NCC Bhawan at Rohini worth Rs 56 crore, school buildings in Dwarka, Sector--17 and 22, Madanpur, Khadar--II and III and Hastsal Village worth Rs 89 crore.
The projects also include re-development and up-gradation of roads and improvement of drainages in industrial areas at GT Karnal Road, Badli Road, Jhilmil and Wazirpur worth Rs 86 crore and residential quarters (118) for Judicial Officers at Dwarka and Rohini for Rs 90 crore.
The Expenditure Finance Committee further directed the departments concerned and the work executing agencies to complete the work within the scheduled period and sanctioned cost.
The committee further clarified that no cost escalation or extension of scheduled period will be considered.
