At a meeting of the BJP legislative party, leader of the opposition in Delhi Assembly V K Malhotra alleged that Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit made a statement on a case against her despite the Speaker ruling against it.
"The Speaker had neither stopped her from making a statement nor had he taken any action against for violating his ruling. When we raised objection for ignoring the ruling of the Speaker, the Congress Members created ruckus in the House," he said in a statement here.
He alleged the uproar was created by Congress members as a premeditated plan and when BJP members tried to intervene to stop their unruly and unparliamentary behaviour, they were expelled from the House.
"We would like to know from the Speaker why he had not stopped the Chief Minister from making a statement against his own ruling. Why Speaker accepts the private proposals without listing them in the Agenda and why such proposals are being passed?" he asked.
"Whether the House is conducted by the Speaker or by the Congress Party?" he wondered.
