In a bid to improve learning level of school students, the Delhi government has formed 29 flying squads of its officials to ensure "zero tolerance" during examinations, under its 'Chunnauti-2018' education reform programme.
According to an official statement, the Directorate of Education has constituted 17 flying squads of its officials with Deputy Director of Education Zones as team heads. The department has identified 127 schools for centralised inspection.
In addition to this, the government has set up 12 flying squads headed by SDMs to inspect orderly conduct of exams in classes 6th and 9th. These teams shall visit at least 60 schools over the next 10 days, it said.
The exams had begun on September 19 and are scheduled to conclude on October 4.
A total of 220 inspections have been made as on today since September 19 to ensure orderly conduct of exams, the statement added.
