His system will enable patients fix appointments for OPD consultation with the 24 government hospitals in advance.
"The idea is to reduce the waiting time in the OPDs and streamline the rush for out-patient consultations. Some of these hospitals witnesses over 4000 patients on a day seeking OPD services. The new system allows patients to schedule appointments up to 15 days in advance sitting at home online like they book rail tickets," said chief secretary S K Srivastava while launching the system today.
However, there is an option provided where they can also register their complaints or problems.
Everytime a patient revisits, they can use the same user ID.

Apart from that, an agreement was also signed between Health department and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) under which UNDP will provide training to 50 selected doctors from various hopitals on procurement and supply chain management of drugs, consumables and medical equipment.
The guidelines include the standardized treatment protocol to be followed in all public health institutions and will also enable doctors to follow and practice uniform standards while treating common diseases and emergencies.
