A delegation of BJP's MLA today met President Pranab Mukherjee and sought his intervention into the ongoing tussle between Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lt Governor Najeeb Jung claiming that the citizens were suffering due the current deadlock.
Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta along with other BJP MLAs Om Prakash Sharma and Jagdish Pradhan met the President at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
The delegation requested the President to intervene in the current deadlock between the two offices and held the AAP government responsible for causing the rift for lack of understanding of Constitutional Provisions.
"President patiently listened to our submission and assured that he will get the points raised by us examined and take appropriate action. The issue of transfer and posting was also discussed," Gupta said in an official statement.
Delegation also requested to conduct a probe on the allegation levelled by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia that the transfer and posting was a big industry in the preceding government.
BJP MLAs also accused the Chief Minister of deliberately overlooking the fact that Delhi being National Capital Territory, has special status under the Article 239A which is very different from other States.

"As far our understanding goes the Lieutenant Governor exercises full control over transfers and posting of officers on behalf of President of India and other matters pertaining to governance," Gupta said.
The Opposition charged that the development of Delhi has come to a standstill as the attention of the Chief Minister and his Ministers were riveted only on one-upmanship with the LG.
The BJP delegation also condemned the CM's order to officials for not routing files through LG and called it unconstitutional.
"It is a clear violation of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Rule (GNCT) Act 1991 and Transaction of Business Rules. Since coming to power, Kejriwal has not only flouted constitutional provisions and government rules but also failed to uphold moral values, transparency, respect media and exercise economy in expenditure," Gupta said.
