Delhi govt organises 11-day job summit

In order to provide employment opportunities to youths, Delhi government will organise a 11-day job summit starting tomorrow.
According to the government, in the summit, as many as 25 private companies will offer job opportunities to thousands of youths.
"Around 25 private companies have been approached and they have given their consent for participation and will offer jobs to unemployed persons," Labour Minister Gopal Rai said.
Jobs on offer also include security guards, attendants, helpers, housekeeping, tele-callers, financial planning advisers, drivers, peons, data entry operators, etc, he said.
Parliamentary Secretary (Employment), Sarita Singh said that government has also decided to provide training programme to candidates who fail in the interviews.
"This is being done for the first time that government will give training to such youths who could not pass their interview in the job summit. Government will ink an agreement with such companies which have expertise in skill training field," Singh said.
The concluding session of the job summit will be organised on August 11 in North Delhi's Civil Lines area, she said.
